Kasha is an English rapper from Charlton in London currently signed to, and part owner of, Vivid Imagery Records. His style of rap is warm, rich, emotional, raw and poetic and has often been described as punk. He tells stories of his surroundings, the problems in the world and his dreams. Unlike most hip hop the music has a strong sense of melody and is made up of an eclectic mix of street beats, jazz flows and cinematic hooks. It's good to see Kasha has made the frontpage on 7digital's Indiestore. The store contains artists from a huge range of genres but is typically popular with Rock and Indie acts so having a Hip Hop act on the front page is very warming.

Kasha's 'You Have A Choice' track is picking up a quite a following and it should be on for release sometime later this year. In the meantime I have made a TRUETONE which you can buy for a small price. All proceeds will go towards improving safety on the streets so please do your bit. Every ringtone sold, that money could save a life. Every time that song is played, people will hear it,and even if only one person is positively affected by the message that we are trying to send, then that to us is a success becuase that could just save a life.

Kasha has just been included in the latest BBC 1Xtra Homegrown podcast by Ras Kwame.

I think this is a great achievement for Kasha and Vivid Imagery and another big step up in the independent game.

On Sunday the 29th of June at the Arsenal Emirates Stadium you have a choice to stop the violence and killing and bring peace to our streets. This will be a day of strict positivity as we strive forward against guns and knives and progress towards peace and safety on our streets. There will be live music from Kasha who is performing the 'You have a choice' anthem. Also music from Nathan, Blemish Blackstorm, Chipmunk, Cherri V, greenjade, Floetic Lara, Kay B & G'Pree.
