About Kasha of Vivid Imagery
Written by Phatriff on Sun, 05/10/2008 - 10:16pm in News uk vivid imagery
Kasha is an English rapper from Charlton in London and part owner of Vivid Imagery Productions. His style of rap is warm, rich, emotional, raw and poetic and has often been described as punk. He tells stories of his surroundings, the problems in the world and his dreams. Unlike most hip hop the music has a strong sense of melody and is made up of an eclectic mix of street beats, jazz flows and cinematic hooks. With collaborations from live bands, musicians and singers there are absolutely no barriers to this kids art. From the words of Dynamite MC from Kiss100 “wow, the best lyricist the UK’s got”

Every ringtone sold, that money could save a life. Every time that song is played, people will hear it,and even if only one person is positively affected by the message that we are trying to send, then that to us is a success becuase that could just save a life.

Kasha has just been featured in the PRS members podcast. It is a great honor to see a rap artist up against other fine singer songwriters and it only reinforces Vivid Imagery's position in putting out credible music with strong lyrical content. Kasha's music is not your typical guns hos and bling, it's about real life which people can relate to. PRS Pod Cast Direct Link orSplit Joins Vivid Imagery

No more pub music
Written by Phatriff on Sun, 27/05/2007 - 8:02pm in Articles Petition uk
The Government is currently passing a law to restrict the Live performance of music in venues. The law basically requires pubs to apply for a license before they are allowed to play live music. Furthermore, each venue can only apply for 12 licenses a year. What this means is that old pub round the corner that puts on live bands and performances all the time for a bit of fun will have to stop. All them little places that you go to for a few quick covers of songs or to tidy your skills before you do the larger events will disappear.Against the grain.
Written by Phatriff on Mon, 26/03/2007 - 5:03pm in Articles business uk
Why do musicians fight the establishment?
I see this a lot and especially in the underground urban market. Acts will write tracks and rant on the stage about their hate for the music establishment. Phrases like 'not giving us the recognition' 'ignoring the underground market'. To me it doesn't make sense. Why put down the one thing that can help you more than anything else?
